a friend gave a suggestion that this shot would look great in black and white, so i gave it a try. what do you think? the original coloured version can be found here
Nice. but i prefer the original version... classic!

@siewpeng: original version has the timber look, but the black white one gives a better feel. i'm starting to like the black white.
I prefer the black and white. It makes it really a great photo.

@lucie: thanks! i'm turning towards black and white too now.
Love the one that is turned and sorta out of place... its not square like the rest its a diamond shape.

I think...black and white printed on high gloss I like the coloured version more if it were richer on the browns

@Wayne: b&w on high gloss, good idea!! yeah, i like the brown.. too bad the brown colour wasn't that outstanding...
hmm i think b&w gives it more of a vintage feel. like the b&w one better!

I would go for he black and white. Color only distracts in this case.

The B/W one is much better. It brings the subject (the nut and bolt) out from the picture which is not seen in the colour version.

guess like B & W is a clear winner!!

BW is better.

I prefer the black and white one. The contrast is better.
